The Uttar Pradesh Government on Thursday said it will construct roads using hazardous plastic garbage.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Keshav Prasad Maurya said that “The Public Works Department will now construct roads using nanotechnology, plastic garbage, jute jio textiles, fly ash and CC.”
“By using this technology, roads will be constructed at a cheaper cost and will be more durable”, he added.
He also said that roads constructed using plastic garbage will absorb less water. The plastic garbage technology is gaining popularity in the whole world now.
Maurya said that the Public Works Department will work with Central Road Research Institute on the construction of the Kothi Haidergarh Road in Barabanki by using plastic garbage.
He said that more roads will soon be included under this project as the State Government is determined to providing high-quality durable roads to the common people.
