SC canceled UP govt’s Ghaziabad 300acre land acquisition notice

New Delhi:
The Supreme Court here have canceled the Uttar Pradesh Government’s notice for the acquisition of approx 300acres farm land located in Ghaziabad for planting the leather industry.
Whereas in 2006 and 2008 a bench of justices G S Singhvi and H L Dattu has approved the state governments land acquisition notification around 250 and 50 acres of land respectively.
Following to petitions which have been filed by the villagers and farmers challenging the state government’s decision to acquire their land for setting up the industry, so the court has passed order.
