Sewri in Mumbai suffocated by Coal dump

It was, off late, a neglected area, Sewri an industrial belt connected with Mumbai Port on eastern coast. Dirty bye lanes and congested with trucks and offloading goods have made inhabitable. A foul smell comes a ssoon as you pass through this area even on trains. Very recently a black mountains of coal — over 1.5 lakh metric tonnes spread across 19 acres in the area is suffocating the residents of the area. Small particles and dust of coal is entering homes and lungs of the residents.

Even big towers and new projects not left, the coal dust is entering big projects and even at a higher floors. A big environmental issue have been emerged and the future of the area as a permanent residence is also in the question.
