Smart City: Ajmer soon to be traffic free

The Rajasthan government has approved 15 crores 54 lakhs under smart city project in assembly area Ajmer on August 27. The allocated money is to be spent for solve problem of drainages, an official said.

The process will be in phase wise it said.

The officials said under the Smart City scheme, the elevated road built at a cost of 220 crores will prove to be a life line of the city. This will solve the city’s traffic problem permanently. In the last four and a half years, hundreds of crores of works have been done in Ajmer city. With these development works, Ajmer will develop into a new hub of tourism.

Ajmer is deciding on a new development path for the city. Almost all important schemes of the Center and the State have been implemented in the city of Ajmer. There are plans will have more than two thousand crores in the city. Similarly, with all the flagship schemes of the state government, the city is being developed by making crores of rupees in the budget, he added.

The official added, the traffic jam was the biggest problem in the city. The maximum traffic of the city passes through routes like Station Road, Kachher Road and Prithviraj Marg. Thousands of people struggle with the problem of traffic jam daily. We have taken a permanent solution to this problem. Under the Smart City Scheme, the work of Ellipted Road, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 220 crores, has been started.

For many years the city had dreamed that the historic Anasagar lake also developed on the lines of Udaipur, Ahmedabad and other cities.
