A state of the Art project of Space City is about to come up near Bangalore. Promoted by Marib Infrastructure India Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture of Abu Dhabi and Malaysian firms, this first of it’s kind project is said to be spreading over 1600 acres at village Bagepalli, District Chikballapur, just 100 kms. away from Bangalore.
With an investment about 18500 crores, the city would have various components like Malls and Exhibition centres, Science and Technology park, Star hotels, UFO and Galaxy shaped shuttle station along with other Real Estate requirements.
The travelling within the city shall be only by Electric cars or by Monorail as the city is supposed to be without any pollution. Bagepalli, being a dry area, the Space city project shall also have “Green “systems like rain water harvesting and waste water treatment plants to ensure maximum use and minimum wastage of water.
The project is said to provide employment to about 20,000 people which will boost Real estate, hospitality, tourism and leisure sectors in the area.
The project has got a basic approval from the Govt. of Karnataka on Saturday.
Sheik Sultan Bin Mohd Bin Khalid Al Nahyan, a member of Abu Dhabi’s royal family and one of the main promoters of Marib Group, is expected to arrive in Bangalore by next month-end for project consultations with the state government.
