The Slum Rehabilitation Authority chief executive officer, Mr. Vishwas Patil has recently issued notice to nearly 114 errant developers. The strict censure has come in the wake of developers’ lethargy in terms of implementation of slum redevelopment schemes despite having acquired permission over 10-15 years ago. The delay has forced people to stay in transit camps for as long as 15 years.

SRA has given 15 days to the developers for coming up with an explanation, failure to do which will lead to strict action.  The SRA notified the developers that it has the right to change the development agencies or auction off the project on grounds of extended delay in project completion.

The notices have been served to Suvidha Developers, Lakdawala Developers, Akruti Nirman Developers, Darshan Developers, Ravi-Ashish Land Developers, Bombay Slum Development and Super Sarthi Developers among others.
