State govt spent over Rs 9,000 Cr on construction & repair of roads

CHANDIGARH

Haryana Government has spent about Rs 9,205 crore on construction and repair of 21,084 km long roads in the state. About 530 km long five National Highways have been declared in the state and four laning of three National Highways was under progress.

An official said that the present State Government has restarted the work on Expressway which was lying pending for many years.

He said that the construction and repair work of roads in all 90 assembly constituencies have been carried out with complete transparency and without any discrimination. It has been decided to widen the roads in villages by 18 feet. Any person can upload pictures of potholes on roads on the ‘Harpath’ app and action would be taken on the complaint within 90 hours, he added.

There is a proposal to extend the Delhi metro rail line from Huda City Centre to Sohna road and Kundli of Sonepat. There is a plan to connect Gurugram and Faridabad with metro, he said.
