The state government in a move to provide a home for people who have a minimum salary, The West Bengal government will come up with housing project called Nijoshree.
Firhad Hakim, State Minister said, Nirjoshree will provide homes for people whose monthly income is not sufficient to purchase a home near the city.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting on Thursday.
The project is divided into two parts, one for the 1BHK, a person earning up to 15,000 per month can apply for it and second for the 2BHK, a person with earning not more than 30,000 per month can apply for it under the proposed project, he said.
According to Hakim, The cost of 2 BHK flat is priced at Rs 9.26 lakh and 1 BHK flats Rs 7.28 lakh.
Minister said, a single applicant can apply only one time, no multiples would be allowed. The project will be completed within next 2 to 3 years with 50,000 units under scheme initially.
