On Friday, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said that to offer online planning permissions within 45 days, the government will take steps for implementing the ambitious plan.
This online planning permission within a period of 45 days will help in decreasing the delays to obtain building permits for starting the constructions of the housing projects and completing them within the time frame.
CM said that Chennai is a global city housing branch of various international financial institutions and a leader in the healthcare sector, while the inauguration of the 11th edition of ‘FAIRPRO 2018’ organised by CREDAI Chennai here.
“Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam has already announced that building approvals through online would be given within 45 days and our government is initiating action to implement it,” Palaniswami said.
The government is expanding the boundaries of the Chennai Metropolitan Area (CMA) from 1,189 sqkm to 8,878 sqkm by occupying the entire Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts, said, deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam in his earlier address.
“The process of CMA’s expansion has started and the general public can send their comments, opinion and suggestions in this regard to the government,” he added.
