In Tamil Nadu, a total number of 223 housing projects have been registered with the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA) till November 22.
As per the data available on realty regulator portal, nearly 75 projects were registered within a month between October 23 and November 22.
Districts that registered their project with RERA includes, Coimbatore, Kancheepuram, followed by Madurai, Tiruvallur and Trichy district.
According to the rules of the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulation and Development Rules, 2017, the new housing projects with a minimum of eight units should be registered with the real estate regulatory authority. Residential plots also come under the purview of the realty regulator, which can be registered after the necessary approvals by the respective authorities.
The TNRERA came into force in the state after the Tamil Nadu government notified the rules on June 22 this year.
