TN RERA increased fee for complaint against promoter, project

The authority has increased fee from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,600. The additional amount Rs 600 is to pay as postage charges.

The Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TN RERA) has revised the fee for filing the complaint against the promoter/project with the authority.

The authority has increased fee from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,600. The additional amount Rs 600 is to pay as postage charges.

According to the circular issued by the regulator, “Under section 31 of the Act read with rule 37, in the prescribed form-M, a fee of Rs 1,000 and an additional payment of Rs 600 towards postage charges, which comes to total Rs 1,600 shall be paid through online.”

The authority also revised the fee for the filing of a complaint before the Adjudicating Officer, from Rs 5,000 to Rs 5,600.

“Under the Sections 12, 14, 18 and 19 of the Act, in the prescribed form-N, a fee of Rs 5,000 and an additional payment of Rs 600 towards postage charges, which comes to Rs 5,600 shall be paid through online”, the statement said.

The order from regulator comes with immediate effect.
