With the launch of the RERA website by Vasundhara Raje on June 1st it became mandatory for all builders and developers to register on the website, without which they cannot proceed ahead and indulge in any marketing, promoting, advertising or any related activity. As the registration process is mandatory, certain discrepancies in the process have created substantial turmoil among the real estate community, owing to which a meeting with the Urban Development and Housing (UDH) is scheduled.
One of the fundamental area of concern is the 49 points where builders state, each point takes upto 2-3 days to collect and procure documentation, thus leaving them in a huge pile of documentation and paperwork. “It takes more than one year to complete the projects and developers hire many thekedaars (contractor), engineers and other people. It is not possible to provide the name of one person who will be assigned throughout the project.” said Abhishek Sharma another developer.
It is been alleged that the (UDH) has copied the registration form from Maharashtra and many points are not relevant for Rajasthan. “We will meet the state government and present our problems,” said a prominent developer.
Since the implementation of Real Estate Regulatory Act (RERA) no developer has registered its project in the state with regulatory authority website.
