Ministry of Road Transport & Highways received 319 proposals from across the country, out of which 47 has been sanctioned
UP has maximum number of proposals with 56 proposals out of which 22 has been approved
The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has received proposals for the upgradation of National Highways from the states under Plan & non-plan to be taken up through budgetary resources and it has sanctioned them during the current financial year. The proposals furnished by respective State Governments are sanctioned based on conformance to Ministry’s circular/standard guidelines, traffic intensity and inter-se-priority of works, subject to overall availability of funds.
The central government has received 319 proposals for upgradation of national highways from across the country out of which 47 proposals has been sanctioned. However, fund has been sanctioned for upgrdation for highways Rs 2,343.393crore.
The Uttar Pardesh has toped the list of states with 56 proposals those have sent their proposals for up-gradation out of which 22 proposals has been sanctioned.
