UP signs MoU with YEIDA to accelerate on Jewar international airport

NEW DELHI

To accelerate the work on greenfield Jewar International Airport and to monitor it, the UP government has signed an agreement with YEIDA, Noida and Greater Noida Industrial Development Authorities.

In the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UP Civil Aviation Minister Nand Gopal among others, the MoU was signed.

State’s Civil Aviation Minister Nand Gopal said, “The Union Civil Aviation Ministry and the state government are working together continuously under the leadership of Suresh Prabhu to make Jewar a reality”.

The officials of the state government said the signing of MoU will kick off the process of land acquisition.

Officials said Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority will begin the operation of producing the bid documents for choosing of the concessioner and the process is likely to begin by July.

The environment ministry has been given the terms of reference for environmental clearance, they informed.
