Maharashtra State Consumer Commission have awarded Rs 2 Lakh as compansation on Vastu Developers at Ghatkopar failing to give possession on time. Apart from paying compensation, the developer to give possession of the flat to the complainant within two months of getting the balance amount and a cost of litigation to the tune of Rs 50,000/-.
According to the complaint, Ms Kamal Kale had booked flat no 603 in Vastu Developer’s Urmi Chhya Building in Asalpha Village. The developer did not execute the sale deed or given possession.
The Commission ruled that the developer failed to honour their promise and hence the order for non giving of occupation was passed.
