World’s first hydrogen town being planned in Japan

The developments in the field of sustainable materials and futuristic fuels, a new concept is being developed in Japan. Scientist believe that Hydrogen is the future fuel. Based on the Hydrogen power, well known companies like Nippon Oil and Nippon Steel along with the help from Japan Government, are setting up a township and a Hydrogen Corridor from Osaka to Tokyo.

A ‘ hybrid house ‘ design has been developed for this township that shall use Hydrogen to generate electricity for various purposes. The initial developments are quite expensive but are said to have the backing of government that is providing almost 50% subsidies for the project.
