YEIDA waits approval for its master plan

The Yamuna Expressway Authority has forwarded to the state government the revised draft of the first phase of the Master Plan 2031 for the approval. The authority has decided to reserve the 10,000 hectares of agricultural land earlier earmarked for the airport for future land use. Once approved the revisions will be implemented in the sub-regional plan. The authority had announced its decision to send a revised master plan to the state for approval in its board meeting last month.

According to the master plan the authority will develop the area residential development in 25,000 hectares. The plan also includes 18 groups housing units. Whereby plots between 100 and 200 acres have been allotted to developers along with 21,000 individual plots. Phase-1 plan include a world class sports city an inter state bus terminus a transport nagar two power generation plants each having a capacity of 2,000 MW and procurement water for residents.  It also includes 133 villages spread across an area of 58,000 hectares. 25% of this area has been earmarked as dedicated green area, 20% for industries and 9% for institutional development.
